Dr. Abbie Zubiel, DC, MS, CFMP, CPT

Dr. Zubiel has been in clinical practice for over a decade, with a specialized focus in functional and integrative medicine. After years of frustration and lack of progress with the conventional medical model regarding her own autoimmune diagnosis and symptoms, Dr. Zubiel began a personal exploration into alternative treatment options. Her resultant success has driven her passion to help others with similar frustrations.

Through a biological systems approach, Dr. Zubiel works to nutritionally support the individual’s body so that it can heal and perform optimally. Her advanced training in functional medicine and nutrition has contributed to her accomplishments in helping patients with an array of health conditions, including digestive imbalances, hormonal imbalances, and autoimmune conditions. She has a passion for reconnecting people with their potential to heal utilizing lifestyle medicine and moving individuals toward a greater well-being.

As a chiropractic physician, Dr. Zubiel utilizes a functional, joint-by-joint approach while treating her patients, focusing on deep myofascial release of the kinetic chain, in addition to dynamic stretching and strengthening rehabilitation. She is a Certified Personal Trainer by the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) and has been trained in various dry needling techniques, Active Release Techniques, Graston Technique®, and kinesiology taping. She also holds advanced certifications in nutrition and health & wellness coaching. 

Additionally, Dr. Zubiel has completed post-doctoral studies in sports medicine, which allows her to understand the demands of the professional and collegiate athlete as well as the weekend warrior. She has served as the team chiropractor for the Boston Cannons (Men’s Major League Lacrosse), the Boston Renegades (Women’s Professional Football), Harvard University Track & Field, Lesley University Sports Medicine, and served as a team coach for the American Liver Foundation’s Boston Marathon Team. She continues to advance her passion and proficiency of sports medicine through working with local professional and collegiate athletes within her private practice.

Dr. Zubiel is continually expanding on her education in order to provide her patients with the most current, evidenced-led and comprehensive care possible. She is a strong advocate of leading an healthy lifestyle through whole food nutrition and keeps active with running and yoga. In her free time, she enjoys being outdoors with her family and dogs. She is a native of Beverly, Massachusetts.
