Lab Services

We offer a variety of lab tests to evaluate how your body systems are working and create a personalized plan to restore balance. Testing isn’t required, but we usually recommend a yearly comprehensive blood panel. Blood draws are often done at Quest Diagnostics, while some advanced tests can be collected at home.

We partner with Rupa Health for testing. Testing may include stool analysis, nutrient panels, food sensitivity, hormones, or routine bloodwork. Rupa accepts credit & debit cards, HSA, FSA, or payment plans.

Below are descriptions of common tests we order. You can also purchase wellness evaluations at anytime without a physician’s approval. Please note, wellness evaluations are for educational purchases only (lab interpretation by physician not included).

Lab Testing

Organic Acids

The Organix Comprehensive Profile is a nutritional test providing insights into organic acids and a view into the body's cellular metabolic processes. Identifying metabolic blocks or problems with detoxification, gut dysbiosis, or oxidative stress that can be treated nutritionally allows for individual tailoring of interventions. The metabolic block may be due to a nutrient deficiency, an inherited enzyme deficit, toxic build-up or drug effect. Several of the biomarkers are markers of intestinal bacterial or yeast overgrowth. Targeted treatment can help maximize patient responses and lead to improved patient outcomes.

Stool Analysis

Overwhelmingly, research indicates that gut health impacts overall health. The gut microbiome, in particular, plays a critical role in mediating the effects of diet and other factors on health, including digestive, immune, metabolic and neuroendocrine functions. Assessing GI health with the proper tools can help practitioners get to the root cause of chronic illness. The GI-MAP (Microbial Assay Plus) is unique in the field of comprehensive stool testing. It relies exclusively on quantitative polymerase chain reaction (qPCR) technology to detect parasites, bacteria, fungi, and more, by targeting the specific DNA of the organisms tested.

Stress Response

The Adrenocortex Stress Profile (ASP) provides an assessment of the Hypothalamic-Pituitary-Adrenal (HPA) axis using carefully timed salivary samples of the hormones cortisol and DHEA. Salivary testing is an easy, non-invasive option to measure unbound, biologically active parent hormone levels. Four salivary samples measured throughout the day to give insight into the natural circadian diurnal cortisol rhythm, and help clinicians address specific daily stressors.

Hormone Analysis

The DUTCH Complete is the most advanced hormone test, offering an extensive profile of sex and adrenal hormones and melatonin, along with their metabolites, to identify symptoms of hormonal imbalances. Easily collected in the comfort of your own home, samples are then sent to our lab to be processed.  The DUTCH Complete is the most accurate test, providing a complete assessment of hormonal health.

Nutritional Analysis

The IONĀ® (Individual Optimal Nutrition) Profile with 40 Amino Acids nutritional analysis can help identify nutrient deficiencies that may be a root cause of complex chronic conditions. The ION with 40 Amino Acids is ideal for establishing a baseline assessment ahead of clinical intervention with nutraceuticals as well as subsequent monitoring as needed. *Blood draw required.

Food Sensitivity Testing

The Cyrex Labs Array 10 is used to evaluate immune reactions to foods, raw and/or modified, food enzymes, lectins and food additives, including meat glue, artificial colorings and gums. Provides early detection of dietary-related triggers of autoimmune reactivity and monitors the effectiveness of customized dietary protocols in patients. *Blood draw required.
